Wares is a thoughtfully curated boutique and gallery on Deer Isle, Maine, by artist and photographer Sal Taylor Kydd.

After a couple of decades visiting the island each summer, Sal moved to Deer Isle full time last year with her husband and Deer Isle native Steven.

In the upstairs gallery, Wares offers a selection of work by Maine artists, including Sal’s photography and art books. Downstairs the boutique features a variety of curated goods for the home and body, as well as some of Sal’s favorite books.

Whether you're in search of the perfect summer hat, a nourishing oil for sun-kissed skin, or a soulful object to bring beauty to your space, Wares invites you to slow down, linger, and discover something made with care.
